CoasterFanatics.Com was originally started by me, Ted Cromwell, in the summer of 2000. I created on online gallery where I could post images that I had taken of Rollercoasters so that I could share them with the Internet community. Over the next couple years, a discussion board was added along with a RideList counter that attracted an assortment of new users to the site. Eventually people were sending me photos and the gallery of images started to expand.
As the number of features on CoasterFanatics started to grow, it became harder and harder to think of new things that could improve the site. The combination of these problems, along with a move from Tampa, FL to Weirton, WV forced the site into a dorment stage for much of the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
After a trip to Knoebels in 2004, I again felt the need to re-create the site and get it "up and running". This time for good!
The new version of CoasterFanatics.com includes many features that were on the old site along with a bunch of new ones, including some that you can't find anywhere else. The site is now here to stay, I get more enjoyment out of running it than I ever did before.
Stay tuned as I, along with an assorted cast of helpers, add new features that make you online coaster experience better than ever before!
